IMPORTANT SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS USE AND CARE Do not modify the Engine Stand in any way. Unauthorized modification may impair the function and/or safety and could affect the life of the equipment. There are specific applications for which the Engine Stand was designed. Always check of damaged or worn out parts before using the Engine Stand. Broken parts will affect the Engine Stand operation. Replace or repair damaged or worn parts, or missing parts immediately. Store idle.

Rotate the engine using the handle or device provided. Assure load is centered and secured to mounting attachments.

Overloading this Engine Stand beyond its rated capacity can cause damage to or failure of the Engine Stand. * Always Use on Hard Level Surfaces This Engine Stand is designed only for use on hard level surfaces capable of sustaining the load. Use on unstable or other possible loss of load.
ASSEMBLY Use the exploded drawing as your guide to assembly. Lay all parts and assemblies out in front of you before beginning. The following procedure is recommended: All numbers in parenthesis () refer to the index number from the parts breakdown. 1. Familiarize yourself with Engine Stand. 2. Attach the rear casters (7) to the support base (4) with bolt (8), washer (6), and nut (5), 3. Attach the rotating casters (7) to each of the front legs (9) with bolt (8), washer (6), and nut (5).
4. Insert the front legs (9) into the support base (4). 5. Temporarily insert bolt (1) into each of the corresponding support base holes (4) that align with the legs. This will keep the structure ridged while installing the main post (2). Attach the main post (2) with bolt (1), washer (17) and nut (15). Attach the support rails (3) to the inner support base section (4) as seen below in the illustration and hand tighten the support rail (3) to bolt (1), washer (17) and nut (15).
10. Attach the stabilizing feet (10) to support base (4) and the front legs (9). 11. Attach the head plate assembly (14) to the mounting arm (13) with bolt (11), washer (12) and nut (15). 12. Insert the head plate assembly (14) into the head plate collar of the main post (2). Then line up one fixed position hole on the head plate assembly (14) with the main post stop hole (2), and assemble them by inserting the stop pin (18).
13. Attach tool tray (20) with bolt (19). 14. Check that all hardware has been tightened before use. 15. Engine Stand is now ready for use. OPERATION 1. Use the stop pin (18) to lock the head plate assembly with the head plate collar. Using an engine hoist, suspend the engine level with the head plate assembly. 2. With the mounting arms (13) loosened, use the correct size engine bolts to attach arms to the engine. (ENGINE BOLTS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH ENGINE STAND.
3. Make sure the engine is centered and level on the head plate assembly, tighten the mounting arms to the engine first, and then tighten the mounting arms to the head assembly. 4. .Check and verify that all attaching hardware on the engine, mounting plate assembly and mounting are tight. After engine is secure, SLOWLY lower the hoist transferring load to the engine stand. Handle assembly (16) can then be used with caution to rotate engine to desired positioning. 5.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS If you use and maintain your equipment properly, it will give you many years of service. Follow the maintenance instructions carefully to keep your equipment in good working condition. Never perform any maintenance on the equipment while it is under a load. Inspection You should inspect the product for damage, wear, broken or missing parts (e.g.: pins) and that all components function before each use. Follow lubrication and storage instructions for optimum product performance.
