Assembly 1 Preparing the sides for assembly CC Locate the Left Side Panel (B) and the Right Side Panel (C). Insert the Wood Dowels (CC) into the pre-drilled holes on the edges of the Left and Right Side Panels (B, C). Insert the Cam Lock Screws (AA) into the pre-drilled holes on Left and Right Side Panels (B, C) where indicated. Tighten using a Phillips screwdriver. Assembly (continued) 4 Preparing the side surround panels Locate the Left Surround Panel (D) and Right Surround Panel (E) and place on a flat surface. Insert Cam Lock Screws (AA) into the pre-drilled holes in each panel and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. AA E D 5 Preparing the top surround panel Locate the Top Surround Panel (F). Insert the Wood Dowels (CC) into the pre-drilled holes on the edges of the Top Surround Panel (F).
Assembly (continued) 7 Preparing base for assembly Locate the Base Front Rail (H). Place the Base Front Rail (H) on a flat surface and insert Cam Lock Screws (AA) as shown. AA H 8 BB Attaching the base to the surround Align the pre-drilled holes of the assembled surround panels from step 6 (D, E, F) with the cam lock screws on the edge of the Base Front Rail (H). Secure the Base Front Rail (H) to the surround panel assembly (D, E, F) with the Cam Lock Connectors (BB).
Assembly (continued) 10 Preparing the top assembly Locate the Top Panel (G) and place onto a flat surface. Insert the Cam Lock Screws (AA) into the pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the Top Panel (G). Tighten the Cam Lock Screws (AA) using a Phillips Screwdriver. AA G 11 Attaching the top Place the Top Panel (G) onto the main assembly by aligning the previously installed cam lock screws and wood dowels with the pre-drilled holes.
Assembly (continued) 12 Installing the fireplace insert Lift the Fireplace Insert (I) carefully into the back of the unit and center in the fireplace insert opening. Do not drag the fireplace insert across the base as it may scratch your unit. I 13 Securing the fireplace insert Use Screws (DD) to secure each side of the Fireplace Insert (I) firmly in place.
Assembly (continued) 14 Installing the tipping restraint hardware When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (FF) is properly installed, it can provide protection against unexpected tipping of the Unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (FF) includes one Unit Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and four Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following steps for a proper installation. Locate a secure wall stud behind the unit closest to left side.

Operation (continued) 6 Replacing the remote control battery 7 Disposing of used batteries When the remote control stops operating or its range seems reduced, it is time to replace the batteries with new ones. On the back end of the remote, press and slide the battery door open and remove the old battery. Insert 2 AAA batteries, checking that the + and sides of the battery match inside the battery compartment. Replace the battery compartment door. NOTE: Do not mix old and new batteries.

Troubleshooting (continued) PROBLEM Flame effect works but heater function does not and the emberbed flashes when the Heater button is pressed. ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION The heater is disabled. With the power on press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10 seconds. Once re-enabled the emberbed lights will flash multiple times. There are no batteries. Change the remote batteries. The signal is poor. Operate remote transmitter at a slow measured pace.
