Assembly 1 Assembling the Surround Panels the Front Contact 2 Attaching Surround Panel Locate the pre-attached metal brackets found on the Left Front Panel (B) and the Right Front Panel (C) and rotate to span across the edges to the Front Surround Panel (D). Align the pre-installed hardware on the edges of the decorative panels on the Left Front and Right Front Panels (B and C) with the pre-drilled holes on edges of the Front Contact Surround Panel (E).
Assembly (continued) 4 Preparing the Fixed Shelf 5 Attaching the Side Panels Locate the Left and Right Side Panels (H and I) and the Fixed Shelf (F). Insert the pre-installed hardware on the edges of the Fixed Shelf (F) into the pre-drilled holes on the Left and Right Side Panels (H and I). Secure the panels in place by tightening the fasteners with a Phillips screwdriver as shown. 1/8 in. Insert Bolts (DD) into pre-drilled holes in Fixed Shelf (F) as shown, but do not tighten all the way.
Assembly (continued) 8 Installing the Fireplace Heater 7 Attaching the Insert Brackets Locate the Brackets (EF) and secure to each side of the Heater Box (EB) using Bolts (EE). Rest the hinges of the Heater Box (EB) on the previously installed mounting bolts. Secure the heater in place by screwing Bolts (DD) through the other side of the hinges on the Heater Box (EB) and into the Fixed Shelf (F) above. EE EB DD EF F EF EB 9 Placing the Glass Front Locate the Glass Panel (J).
Assembly (continued) 10 Attaching the Base Align and insert the pre-installed hardware on the edges of Base (A) with the pre-drilled holes on the main assembly. A 11 Attaching the Top Panel Locate the mantel Top Panel (G) and align the pre-drilled holes in the Top Panel (G) with the pre-installed screws on the top edges of the main assembly. After inserting the screws into the holes, tighten the fasteners from underneath the mantel Top Panel (G) using a Phillips screwdriver as shown.
Assembly (continued) 12 Assembling the Log Set Place the Log Set Left (EC) into the Ember Bed (EG) as shown. Repeat with the Log Set Right (ED). EC ED EG 13 Assembling the Log Set Route the wires of the Log Set Left (EC) and the Log Set Right (ED) down the back of the Ember Bed (EG) and into the receiving tabs to secure in place. Refer to the lower diagram. Gently plug the cords from both the Log Set Left (EC) and the Log Set Right (ED) into the ports as shown.
Assembly (continued) 15 Securing the Log Set Once the log set is in place, secure with Screws (CC) through the bottom of the log set and into the base. 16 Connecting the Fireplace Wiring Connect Key Button Connection Wire to heater. Insert the Ember Bed Connection Wire into the heater. Route the Ember Bed Connection Wire down the side surround rail and along the back of the log set, securing it in place with the clips as shown. CC 17 Placing the Fireplace Background Locate the Back Panel (K).
Assembly (continued) the Support to the Top 18 Securing the Fireplace Background 19 Attaching Corner Panel Place the Back Panel Brackets (GG) between the Back Panel (K) and the grooves of the assembly as shown. Fasten each Back Panel Bracket (GG) using Screws (FF). Repeat until all brackets are in place as indicated by the diagram.
Assembly (continued) 21 Installing the Tipping Restraint Hardware When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (HH) is properly installed, it can provide protection against unexpected tipping of the unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (HH) includes one Unit Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and two Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following steps for a proper installation. Locate a secure wall stud behind the unit closest to the left side.

On the back end of the remote, press and slide the battery door open and remove the old battery. Insert two AAA batteries, checking that the + and sides of the battery match inside the battery compartment. Replace the battery compartment door. NOTE: Do not mix old and new batteries.

Troubleshooting PROBLEM The remote control is not working. ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION There are no batteries. Change the remote batteries. The signal is poor. Operate remote transmitter at a slow measured pace. Press the remote control buttons with an even motion and gentle pressure. Repeatedly pressing buttons in rapid succession may cause the transmitter to malfunction. The remote is too far from the heater.
