The Energy Labeling Rule

requires manufacturers of certain appliances to disclose a product’s
annual energy cost or efficiency information on EnergyGuide labels based on Department of
Energy (DOE) test procedures and to report their findings to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
The bright yellow EnergyGuide labels for covered products contain three key disclosures:
Estimated annual energy cost; a product’s energy consumption or energy efficiency rating as
determined from Department of Energy (DOE) test procedures; and a comparability range
displaying the highest and lowest energy costs or efficiency ratings for all similar models.
The Energy Labeling Rule applies to consumer products, i.e. appliances distributed in commerce
for personal use. Commercial Refrigerated Display Units and Commercial Storage Cabinets are
not subject to the same Energy Labeling Rule.
This product complies with UL Safety Standards and requirements for Food Service Refrigerators
and Storage Freezers (ANSI/NSF-7). It has also been tested to meet the DOE’s Commercial energy
standards for commercial appliances in its size and product class category.
Manufacturers of covered products and equipment subject to Federal conservation energy
standards are required to certify the products with the Department of Energy via the Compliance
Certification Management System. The energy data for this model is available on CCMS
database
