Dishwasher Installation for a CK72ADA Kitchenette
This kitchenette can be modified to accept an 18 wide dishwasher sized for use under
ADA compliant counters. We recommend the Summit DW18SS4ADA.
1. Open the door of the 18 wide cabinet of your kitchenette (located to the right of the sink in the
CK72ADASINKL, and to the left of the sink in the CK72ADASINKR).
2. Remove the two screws (one at the top and one at the bottom) on the hinge side of the door.
3. Locate the front support bar at the bottom front of the cabinet. Remove the screws on the left
and the right side of the bar, which attach it to the sides of the cabinet.
4. Remove the middle shelf by unscrewing the two screws underneath the front lip of the shelf, and
the two screws in the back of the shelf, holding it to the walls of the cabinet.
5. Remove the four screws attaching the bottom shelf to the cabinet, and slide the bottom shelf out
of the unit.
NOTE: Leave the back, mid-height support bar in place. It will provide structure to the unit once the
shelves are removed.
6. A hole will need to be drilled in the sink-side wall of the cabinet to accommodate the water intake
and drain hoses. The hole should be approximately 2” in diameter. It is recommended to line the
inside of the drilled hole with a rubber grommet to prevent the metal from cutting into the drain
hose.
7. Feed the intake and drain hoses through the hole. As you push the dishwasher back into the
combo kitchen, make sure to tuck the hoses into the channel at the bottom rear of the
dishwasher. There should be sufficient room for both hoses when the dishwasher is pushed
back to be flush with the front of the combo kitchen.
