Page 2 SUMMIT APPLIANCE Thank you for purchasing the SUMMIT® Portable Refrigerator/ Freezer. This is an advanced refrigeration unit, combining the latest in compressor and computerized digital control technology. The high efficiency of the compressor will freeze to below 0°F at an ambient temperature of 86°F, and the unit can also be used as a portable refrigerator or cooler. Like all SUMMIT® products, this unit has been manufactured to the high standards identified with the SUMMIT® name.
SUMMIT APPLIANCE WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury when using your appliance, follow these basic precautions: Keep cooler upright when it is turned on and while in use. Never turn on the cooler with wet hands or when your feet are in contact with water. If connected to a DC power source (for example, a cigarette lighter socket) in a vehicle, do not attempt to power up the cooler when vehicle engine is not turned on.
Page 4 SUMMIT APPLIANCE Applications The cooler is perfect for traveling, picnics, camping, trucking and other outdoor activities. Indoors, the appliance adapts itself to many uses requiring either freezing or just cooling. Just use the supplied AC/DC adapter in combination with the DC/DC power cord and set the controls as described in Setting the Temperature, page 7. Model SPRF26M is the ideal choice if you wish to refrigerate medical supplies.

Page 6 SUMMIT APPLIANCE Before First Use What you should expect to find in the carton Check to be sure that all of the following items have been included in the carton along with this manual: 1 compressor freezer, model SPRF26 1 DC/DC power cord 1 AC/DC adapter Clean Before Using After you remove the unit from its packaging, clean the inside before using. See cleaning instructions in the Cleaning section of this manual. Installation 1. Place cooler on a dry surface where it is protected from water. 2.
SUMMIT APPLIANCE Setting the Temperature 1. Plug the DC/DC power cord into the cord socket on the side of the unit (see upper figure on page 5). 2. If using a DC power source such as the cigarette lighter socket of a vehicle, plug the other end of the cord into the power source. 3. If using an AC power source, connect the AC/DC adapter to the end of the DC/DC cord, then plug the adapter into a wall socket or other AC power source. 4. Press the power switch to turn on the cooler.
Page 8 SUMMIT APPLIANCE Storage When storing your cooler, we recommend that you leave the lid open slightly. This will help keep mold from forming and prevent stale odors. It’s a good idea to follow the cleaning procedure (below) before storing your cooler. Cleaning Clean your cooler with a soft cloth moistened with lukewarm water. Avoid getting water droplets in the vents, as this may lead to damage to the electronic components. Use a soft dry cloth to dry the cooler completely after cleaning.

Service must be provided by a designated service company.
