This is an advanced refrige ration unit, combining the latest in comp ressor and computerized digital co ntrol techn ology. The high efficiency of the compressor will freeze to below 0°F at an ambient temperature of 86°F, and the unit can also be used as a portable refrigerator or cooler. Like all SUM MIT® produ cts, this unit has bee n man ufactured to the high standards id entified with the SUMMIT® name.
SUMMIT APPLIANCE WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury when using your appliance, follow these basic precautions: Keep cooler upright when it is turned on and while in use. Never turn on the cooler with wet hands or when your feet are in contact with water. If connected to a DC power source (for example, a cigarette lighter socket) in a vehicle, do not attempt to power up the cooler when vehicle engine is not turned on.

Indoors, the applia nce ad apts itself to many uses requiring either freezing or just cooling. Just use the supplied AC/ DC ad apter in combi nation with the DC/DC power cord and set the controls as described in Setting the Temperature, page 7. Model SPRF 26M is the i deal ch oice if you wish to refrig erate medical sup plies.

Page 6 SUMMIT APPLIANCE Before First Use What you should expect to find in the carton Check to be sure that all of the following items have been included in the carton along with this manual: 1 compressor freezer, model SPRF26 1 DC/DC power cord 1 AC/DC adapter Clean Before Using After you remove the unit from it s packaging, clean the inside before u sing. See cle aning instru ctions in the Cleaning section of this manual. Installation 1. Place cooler on a dry surface where it is protected from water.
SUMMIT APPLIANCE Setting the Temperature 1. Plug the DC/DC power cord into the cord socket on the side of the unit (see upper figure on page 5). 2. If using a DC power source such as the cigarette lighter socket of a vehicle, plug the other end of the cord into the power source. 3. If using an AC power source, connect the AC/DC adapter to the end of the DC/DC cord, then plug the adapter into a wall socket or other AC power source. 4. Press the power switch to turn on the cooler.
Page 8 SUMMIT APPLIANCE Storage When stori ng your cool er, we re commend that you leave the lid open slightly. This will hel p keep mold from forming and prevent stale o dors. It’s a go od idea to follo w the cleaning p rocedure (below) before storing your cooler. Cleaning Clean your cooler with a soft cloth mo istened with luke warm water. Avoid getting water d roplets in the vents, as this ma y lead to damage to the electronic components.
