Instructions for Assembling STACK15 (with Anti-Tip Bracket)
to Stabilize Stacked Combination of FF1538B and SCFF1537B
(Professional assembly recommended)
Stacking the FF1538B refrigerator with the SCFF1537B freezer is a convenient way to save space. To be
sure that the stacked combination is stable, it is necessary to secure the refrigerator to the freezer (using
the STACK15 accessory set), and to prevent tipping of the stacked combination (with the Anti-Tip
Bracket). These pages explain how to do that.
The diagram below shows how the Front and Back Stacking Brackets and the Anti-Tip Bracket fit into the
total assembly. The Upper Appliance can be either the refrigerator FF1538B or the freezer SCFF1537B.
Before stacking the two appliances, the Anti-Tip Bracket should be screwed into place. Follow these
instructions:
Anti-Tip Bracket: Once this bracket is screwed into the wall or floor at the rear of the final location of the
assembly, the combination of appliances is slid backward so that the bracket is secured in the grillwork on
the back of the lower appliance, on the lower right side. To make this possible, it may be necessary to cut
away part of the grillwork of the lower appliance, as shown in the photographs here and on the next page.
