Use care not to plug into outlets controlled by wall switches. Disconnect power before servicing. After service, replace all parts and panels before operating. Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable items in the area of this or any appliance, as the fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.

SUMMIT APPLIANCE Page 4 Installation When the appliance is to be moved, at least two people should participate. Grasp the freezer firmly at the base and lift carefully while keeping the unit upright. Never tilt it more than 45 degrees. Never turn the unit upside down or lay it on its side, back or front. Never use the door handle as a support as this may damage the hinges. 1. Install the freezer on a flat, solid surface so as to minimize noise caused by vibration. 2.
SUMMIT APPLIANCE Page 5 Operation Temperature Control 1. The temperature in the freezer is controlled by the thermostat which is located on the right side of the control panel near the top of the unit. It is marked TEMP CONTROL. Use a coin to change the setting of the thermostat. 2. The marks around the thermostat knob represent different temperature settings. Setting "MIN" is the warmest and "MAX" is the coldest. 3. In normal use, the selector should be set to "MED" (medium).
SUMMIT APPLIANCE Page 6 Note: Fresh fish and meat that will be stored for long periods of time should be fast frozen. To operate Fast Freeze, turn on the left-hand switch on the control panel by pushing "―". The Fast Freeze indicator light will turn on, showing that the unit is now in the Fast Freeze mode. Once the food is frozen, turn off the switch by pressing "O". The light will turn off. Note: While the unit is in Fast Freeze, the thermostat setting is overridden.
Page 7 SUMMIT APPLIANCE 5. Connect your freezer to an independent power outlet. Make sure it is safely grounded. The voltage should be limited to the range of 90V to 127V, otherwise the motor will be damaged. 6. After a power outage, wait 5 minutes before turning the freezer on. Otherwise the compressor may become damaged. 7. Always allow for proper air circulation to the back, sides and top of the unit. Also, check that the packing base has been removed from the bottom of the unit prior to operation. 8.

If you wish to stop using the freezer for a long period of time, make sure you unplug it from the outlet, remove all food, clean and dry the freezer and leave the door open to eliminate any unpleasant odors. SUMMIT APPLIANCE Page 9 Troubleshooting If your appliance is experiencing operating difficulties, check this list of problems and solutions first to avoid the cost of an unnecessary service call. Appliance does not work at all The power supply plug is not inserted in the wall socket or the plug is loose. Power may not be reaching the electric outlet being used by the freezer. This can be checked by plugging a light or any other electric appliance into the socket.

Service must be provided by a designated service company.
