Safety Precautions for your Eco Jet • • • • • • • 2 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR SUNBEAM ECO JET. The Sunbeam Eco Jet is intended for domestic household use only. Only use the attachments supplied with the Eco Jet. Others may cause hazards. Always unplug the Eco Jet from the power outlet when filling the tank with water. Do not add detergents, chemicals, aromatic products, or solutions of any kind when filling with water as this may damage the Eco Jet or make it unsafe for use.
Sunbeam’s Safety Precautions • • • • • • Sunbeam are very safety conscious when designing and manufacturing consumer products, but it is essential that the product user also exercise care when using an electrical appliance. Listed below are precautions which are essential for the safe use of an electrical appliance: Read carefully and save all the instructions provided with an appliance. Always turn the power off at the power outlet before you insert or remove a plug.
Features of your Eco Jet Water tank cap Shoulder strap hook Steam outlet 1000W element The powerful 1000W boiler element guarantees a powerful, constant jet of high-pressure steam in excess of 100°C.
Steam trigger The steam trigger allows for safe and easy control of the steam output with the push of a button. Shoulder strap hook Easy grip handle 300ml water tank The large capacity water tank provides up to 15 minutes steam cleaning. Extra long 5 metre cord Steam ready indicator light Illuminates when the power is turned on at the outlet and the boiler is heating. It goes out when the steam is ready to use. The light will cycle on and off intermittently when the thermostat is heating.
Attachments and Accessories Standard nozzle Suitable for most general cleaning tasks in and around your home. Can be used with the flexible extension nozzle. Figure 2 Utility head Used in conjunction with either the fabric cloth or the squeegee. Can be used with the flexible extension nozzle. Figure 3 Fabric cloth The utility head with fabric cloth is ideal for maintaining upholstery and soft furnishings including sofas, curtains, blinds, rugs and mattress. Also removes creases from delicate clothing.
Flexible extension nozzle For hard to reach areas, the flexible extension nozzle can be used with any of the other attachments.
Using your Eco Jet Before first use Remove any packaging or marketing materials that may be attached to the Eco Jet. Partially fill and then empty the water tank to remove any foreign particles that may remain in the tank following the manufacturing process. Note: When turned on for the first time, your new Eco Jet may drip a small amount of water when initially producing steam. This is normal and will not reoccur.
Using your Eco Jet continued Fitting the attachments Before removing any attachment, ensure the plug is disconnected from the power outlet. Always allow the unit and the attachment to cool completely before handling. Fitting the standard nozzle 1. Attach the standard nozzle to the Eco Jet by pushing it onto the steam outlet, aligning the arrow engraved on the attachment with the join line above the steam outlet.
Using your Eco Jet continued Fitting the round brush The round brush can be used in conjunction with the standard nozzle, the flexible extension nozzle or fitted directly to the steam outlet on the Eco Jet. 1. Fit the round brush to any of the above attachments or directly to the steam outlet by aligning the inner hexagonal sides of the round brush with the tip of the attachment. Push the round brush firmly onto the attachment at the desired angle of use. 2.
Care and Cleaning After each use 1. Remove the plug from the power outlet. 2. Remove any remaining steam from the water tank by depressing the steam trigger until the tank is completely empty. 3. Partially unscrew the water cap, waiting 5 minutes for any remaining steam to escape and to allow the unit to cool down. Proceed to completely unscrew the cap. 4. Carefully empty any remaining water from the water tank by turning it upside down above a sink or outdoors. Caution: Water may be extremely hot. 5.
