About Automatic Stirring Technology:
Our Crock-Pot
®
Slow Cooker Stirring technology does the stirring
for you so you don’t have to. Automatic stirring provides you with
the convenience of preparing foods with perfect results, even if you
are not in the kitchen. Simply prepare ingredients, set cook time
and attach lid with the proper stirring attachment in place. Once
the POWER button on the lid has been pressed, the unit will wait
two hours for the food to soften and begin cooking, and then it will
automatically stir for 5 minutes once every half-hour. This stirring
cycle will continue until the POWER button has been pressed again
when you are done with use. Additionally, you can manually request
a 1-minute stir cycle at any time during the process by pressing
the PULSE button. This will not interfere with the regular half-hour
stirring cycle.
The paddles stir food while your Crock-Pot
®
 Slow Cooker cooks,
so you can serve a delicious, appetizing, freshly prepared dish with
confidence.
Choosing the Correct Stirring Attachment:
Only use the stirring attachments for softer foods and liquid
based recipes that require stirring. Use the General Purpose
stirring attachment for most soups, chilis, chowders, dips and
thinner recipes. Use the Specialty attachment for thicker, denser
recipes like stews, stroganoffs, etc. The Secondary Lid attachment
(without stirring paddle) may be used when you are cooking solid
foods or recipes that do not require stirring.
Automatic Reverse Stirring:
The Automatic Stirring Attachments are built with special
technology that will cause the paddles to automatically reverse
and stir in the opposite direction when they meet too much
resistance in the food contents. Please note that if the food
contents are too thick to stir, it will cause the Stirring Attachment
to constantly reverse directions, without completing a full spin
rotation.
