Now, you should see data printed on the display, which are square waves generated by

the 555 timer. The program counts pulses by interrupt as we have learned previously.

Further Exploration

The above 555 timer circuit outputs square waves with a constant frequency and duty

cycle. You can simply change this circuit to adjust the frequency and duty cycle. Thus you

can make breathing LED described in Lesson 4 without Raspberry Pi. Now get some hands-

on experience!
