General Notes on the Awning
Fabric
Awning fabrics are high-performance
products. Nevertheless, even today's
state-of-the-art technology and the
requirements of environmental protection set
limits to their perfection. Certain features of
the fabric that are sometimes complained
about may occur in spite of the sophisticated
production and processing technology.
Basically, these effects occur in different
variations with almost all awning fabrics. But
they have no impact whatsoever on the
quality of the fabric.
In order to avoid irritation, we would like to
inform you about the following characteristics
in the context of consumer education:
- Folds occur during the manufacture and
folding of the awning fabric. Especially in
the case of light colors, surface effects
(pigment shifts) may occur in the folds,
which look darker in the backlight (like
dirt streaks) They do not reduce the
value and usability of the awning.
- Chalk effects are bright stripes that are
created on finished fabrics during
processing. They cannot always be
completely avoided even with the
greatest care. Therefore, they are not a
reason for complaints either.
- Rain resistance: Acrylic and polyester
awning fabrics have been treated to be
water-repellent. They can withstand light,
short rain at a minimum inclination of 14
degrees. In case of heavy or prolonged
rainfall, awnings must be retracted in
order to avoid damage. Awnings that
have been retracted wet should be
extended again soon as possible for
drying.
- Ripples in the hem, seam and panel
areas are caused by multiple layers of
fabric and different winding thicknesses
on the fabric roller. The resulting fabric
tensions may cause ripples (e. g. waffle
or herringbone patterns).
- The sewing thread of the fabric does not
necessarily have to the same color as
the piece of fabric in which the seam is
located.

Safety Instructions
General Safety Instructions
You should read all safety
notes and instructions.
Failure to comply with the
safety notes and instructions may cause
serious injury.
Risk of death and accidents
for infants and children! Never
leave children unattended with
the packaging material. There is a risk of
suffocation due to packaging material.
Children often underestimate the dangers.
