Boiled Linseed Oil should be applied to unfinished wood only. Linseed oil must
penetrate to be effective. Thin up to 2:1 with mineral spirits to ensure proper
penetration. Boiled Linseed Oil can be added directly to oil based paints and
stains, always follow the coatings manufacturer's directions.
Boiled Linseed Oil is extracted from the seed of the flax plant, with special
additives to shorten its drying time. It is an extender and fortifier of oil based
paints, stains and primers, and is a quality finish for fine woods, furniture and
antiques.
