1.1 This user manual This user manual will help you to use and maintain the controller of your power wheelchair safely. This user manual is a supplement to Sunrise Medical’s general wheelchair user manual. When necessary this user manual refers to other manuals as shown below: & Wheelchair: Refers to the general wheelchair user manual. & Battery charger: Refers to the user manual for the battery charger. Read this user manual and the other user manuals referred to carefully before using the product.

The controller 2.1 VR2 controller A controller will usually have three basic functions: • Driving and steering a wheelchair • Operating electrical seat adjustments • Charging the wheelchairs batteries There are many different control systems for wheelchairs on the market. If the controller on your wheelchair does not resemble the one in figure 1, 2 or 3 contact your dealer. 1. VR2 drive only 2. VR2 Lights 3.

D riving the wheelchair with the controller 3.1 S witching the controller on or off To be able to drive or operate the electronic adjustment options of the wheelchair, the controller must be switched on. Press the on/off button (B in figure 4). 3.2 Driving the wheelchair Driving an electric wheelchair is done by operating a joystick. Move the joystick forwards and the wheelchair will also move forwards. Steer left and right and the wheelchair will turn. 3.
ENGLISH 4. O perating the electrical adjustment options Not every wheelchair has been equipped with electronic adjustment options. We make a distinction between four different adjustment options to the seating system: • Tilt adjustments • High/low adjustments • Backrest adjustments • Legrest adjustments To use electrical adjustment options, the VR2 Seats&Lights controller is required (maximum of two options). ENGLISH 5. Lights Not every wheelchair has been equipped with lights. You can activate the following functions only by using VR2 Lights and/or VR2 Seat&Lights: • Lights (I in figure 4) • Hazard Lights (J in figure 4) • Direction indicators (K1 & K2 in figure 4) 6. Troubleshooting (Fig. 6) If the wheelchair will not function while the batteries are fully charged, check the following points before consulting your dealer: • Switch the controller off and then switch it on again.

Check the battery connections The parking brakes have a bad connection. Check the parking brake and the motor connections. Make sure that the control system connections are secure A control system fault is indicated. Make sure the control system connections are secure. A joystick fault is indicated.
ENGLISH 7. Locking the controller To lock the controller; • While the control system is switched on, depress and hold the on/off button. • After 1 second the control system will beep. Now release the on/off button • Deflect the joystick forwards until the control system beeps. • Deflect the joystick in reverse until the control system beeps. • Release the joystick, there will be a long beep. • The wheelchair is now locked.

Ensure that the battery charger is properly connected so that the ‘negative pole’ and the ‘inhibit’ are connected, enabling the system to prevent the wheelchair from moving when the battery is being charged.

1. Préface FRANÇAIS 1.1 Ce manuel Ce manuel vous aidera à utiliser et entretenir en toute sécurité le boîtier de commande de votre fauteuil roulant. Ce manuel constitue un complément au manuel d’utilisation général fauteuil roulant de Sunrise Medical. Le cas échéant, ce manuel se réfère aux autres manuels, comme précisé ci-dessous. & Fauteuil roulant: Renvoie au manuel d’utilisation général fauteuil roulant. & Chargeur de batterie: Renvoie au manuel du chargeur de batterie.
2. Le boîtier de commande 2.1 Boîtier de commande VR2 Il existe sur le marché différents systèmes de commande pour les fauteuils roulants. C irculer avec le fauteuil roulant à l’aide du boîtier de commande 3.1 M ettre en marche et éteindre le boîtier de commande Pour pouvoir rouler avec le fauteuil ou effectuer les réglages électriques, le boîtier de commande doit être allumé. Par conséquent, appuyez sur le bouton ON/OFF (B sur la fig. 4). 3.2 Conduire le fauteuil roulant La conduite du fauteuil roulant s’effectue à l’aide du levier de commande.
FRANÇAIS 4. L e fonctionnement des réglages électriques Tous les fauteuils ne sont pas équipés de réglages électriques. On distingue quatre réglages électriques du système d’assise : • Réglage de bascule d’assise • Réglage en hauteur • Réglage du dossier • Réglage du repose-jambes L‘utilisation des réglages électriques n‘est possible qu‘en combinaison avec le boîtier de commande VR2 Seats&Lights (maximum 2 réglages électriques). 5. Éclairage FRANÇAIS Tous les fauteuils ne sont pas équipés de l’éclairage. Seuls les fauteuils VR2 Lights ou VR2 Seat&Lights permettent d’activer les fonctions suivantes : • Éclairage (I sur la figure 4) • Témoins lumineux (J sur la figure 4) • Clignotants (K1 & K2 sur la figure 4) 6. Pannes (Figure 7) Lorsque le fauteuil ne fonctionne pas, alors que la batterie est suffisamment chargée, vérifiez les points suivants avant de consulter votre revendeur. • Éteignez le boîtier de commande et rallumez-le.

Vérifiez les connexions des batteries. Mauvaise connexion du frein de stationnement. Vérifier les connexions du frein de stationnement et du moteur. 1.1 Deze gebruikershandleiding Met deze gebruikershandleiding kunt u de bedieningskast op veilige wijze gebruiken en onderhouden. Deze gebruikershandleiding vormt een aanvulling op de algemene gebruikshandleiding van de Sunrise Medical rolstoel.
2. De bedieningskast NEDERLANDS 2.1 VR2 bedieningskast Een bedieningskast heeft in de basis drie functies: • Het rijden en besturen van de rolstoel • Het bedienen van elektrische zitverstellingen • Via de besturingskast kunnen de accu’s van de rolstoel worden opgeladen Er zijn verschillende besturingssystemen op de markt voor elektrische rolstoelen. R ijden met de rolstoel via de bedieningskast NEDERLANDS 3.1 A an- en uitzetten van de bedieningskast Om met de rolstoel te kunnen rijden of om de elektrische verstellingen te kunnen bedienen moet de bedieningskast aan worden gezet. Druk daartoe op de aan/uitknop (B in afb. 4). 3.2 Rijden met de rolstoel Het rijden met de rolstoel gebeurt via de joystick. Beweeg de joystick naar voren en de rolstoel zal zich naar voren bewegen. Stuur naar links en rechts en de rolstoel zal draaien. 3.
4. H et bedienen van elektrische verstellingen NEDERLANDS Niet iedere rolstoel is uitgerust met elektrische verstellingen. We onderscheiden hier vier elektrische verstellingen van het zitsysteem: • Kantelverstelling • Hoog/Laag verstelling • Rugverstelling • Beensteunverstelling Het gebruik van de electrische verstellingen is alleen mogelijk in combinatie met de VR2 Seats&Lights bedieningskast (maximaal 2 electrische verstelling). NEDERLANDS 5. Verlichting Niet iedere rolstoel is uitgerust met verlichting. Enkel met VR2 Lights of VR2 Seats&Lights kan dan het volgende geactiveerd worden: • Verlichting (I in figuur 4) • Waarschuwingslichten (J in figuur 4) • Knipperlichten (K1 & K2 in figuur 4) 6. Storingen (Figuur 7) Als de rolstoel niet functioneert, terwijl de accu’s voldoende geladen zijn, controleer dan de volgende punten voordat u de dealer raadpleegt. • Zet de bedieningskast uit en weer aan.
Figuur 7 Zelfhulphandleiding, Er werd een te hoog voltage geleverd aan het bedieningssysteem. Dit wordt veroorzaakt door een slechte aansluiting op de accu. Controleer de verbindingen met de accu. NEDERLANDS Er is een slechte aansluiting op de parkeerremmen. Controleer de parkeerrem en de motorverbindingen. Controleer of de aansluitingen van het bedieningssysteem goed zijn. Storing in het bedieningssysteem. Controleer of de aansluitingen van het bedieningssysteem goed zijn. Storing in de joystick.

Vergrendelen van de bedieningskast De bedieningskast vergrendelen; • Houd de aan/uit-knop ingedrukt terwijl de besturing is ingeschakeld. • Na 1 seconde gaat het besturingssysteem piepen. Laat nu de aan/uit-knop los. • Duw de joystick naar voren totdat het besturingssysteem begint te piepen. • Duw de joystick naar achteren totdat het besturingssysteem begint te piepen. • Laat de joystick los, er klinkt nu een lange pieptoon. • De rolstoel is nu vergrendeld.
