BURNER START-UP –Lighting the Burner
Lighting Instructions
NOTE: To light gas burner with a gas lighter, make sure the burner has
been leak tested and burners are properly located. Insert long-necked gas
lighter through the cooking grid placing near a burner side. Turn the closest
burner knob on to “HIGH” setting to release gas. Turn on the button on
gas lighter, burner should light immediately. Adjust burners to desired
cooking temperature.
Open Lid/Hood
Ensure Burner Control Knobs
In the “OFF” position,
Turn on the gas supply valve
1. Push the burner knob in and slowly
rotate counter-clockwise to the high
position.
2. Press and Hold the center Igniter
button, and wait to hear the igniter
clicking, see top of burner and locate
ceramic electrode to see the sparking
3. To light either burner, push and turn
control knob counter-clockwise to HIGH
position and adjust to desired cooking
temperature.
1. If burner does not light, repeat
previous steps, or follow the following
instructions.
5. If ignition does not occur in 5 seconds,
turn the burner control knob to “OFF”,
wait 5 minutes to allow gas to dissipate
and repeat the lighting process.
6. Continue to adjust burner control knob
counter-clockwise to desired cooking
temperature.
