1. Remove the rubber cap on the bottom of the Oil-Max
Oil Pump and place it into the oil container until it
touches bottom.
2. Slide the rubber collar firmly into the container top. This
collar supports the pump and seals the container.
3. Connect one side of the refrigerant charging hose to the
fitting on the oil pump and tighten.
4. Loosely attach the other side of the charging hose to the
access valve on the compressor/equipment. Purge the
air from the hose and then tighten the fitting at the
compressor/equipment.
5. Open the access valve at the compressor and start
pumping oil into the compressor with steady, even
strokes. It may help to hold the neck of the pump with
your other hand to help stabilize it.
6. Once the desired amount of oil has been pumped into the compressor, close the
valve and remove the charging hose. Cap the male flare fitting on the oil pump to
keep the pump clean and dry when not in use.
