Important Note:
We recommend cleaning the appliance before its first use as per the following instructions by allowing water to run
through (without coffee) two to three times. Dust or possible remnants from the manufacturing process will be removed
through this process. The glass carafe should be carefully rinsed before it is first used.
Place the appliance on a stabile, flat and heat resistant surface. Make sure that the appliance cannot slide or tip
over.
Open the lid of the water container and fill the container with clear, cold water. The amount of water must be
between the fill markings (lowest/highest) on the appliance. The appliance can overheat with too little water. The
excess liquid can overflow with too much water.
Close the lid of the water container and keep this closed during the boiling process.
Open the filter holder and ensure that the filter is placed correctly in the filter holder. The silicon bordered opening
must be placed exactly on the object on the bottom of the filter holder.
After this, insert a size 1x4 paper filter and fill this with the desired amount of ground coffee (approximately 1
teaspoon for two cups).
Close the filter holder.
After this, place the empty glass carafe with its lid closed on the warming plate and make sure that it is positioned
correctly underneath the filter outlet. Be sure that the exterior of the glass carafe is dry so that no water can get
onto the warming plate or the inside of the appliance. There is a serious risk of electrical shock!
Connect the appliance’s plug to the electrical supply.
Turn the appliance on using the switch. The indicator lights show that the appliance is turned on. The water will
begin to run through the appliance and will be heated up in the process.
