5-5 Adding PCI Expansion Cards
PCI Express Slot
The 2026TT-DLRF/DLIBXRF/DLIBQRF includes two preinstalled riser cards de-
signed speci cally for use in the SC217HD-R1400BP 2U rackmount chassis (one
riser card for each node). These riser cards each support two PCI Express x8
expansion cards to t inside the chassis.
PCI Expansion Card Installation
A riser card has already been preinstalled into each serverboard. Perform the fol-
lowing steps to add a PCI expansion card:
Remove the PCI slot shield on the chassis by releasing the locking tab.1.
Insert the expansion card into the riser card.2.
Secure the expansion card with the locking tab.3.

Due to the memory allocation to system devices, the amount of memory that
remains available for operational use will be reduced when 4 GB of RAM is used.
