H8SMi-2/H8SMA-2 User's Manual
Fan Headers
The H8SMi-2/H8SMA-2 has fi ve fan
headers, which are designated FAN1
through FAN5. Fans are Pulse Width
Modulated (PWM) and their speed is
controlled via Thermal Management
with a BIOS setting. See the table on
the right for pin defi nitions.
Note: the H8SMi has 3-pin fans and
the H8SMA-2 has 4-pin fans.
Serial Ports
The COM1 serial port is located under
the parallel port. Refer to the moth-
erboard layout for the location of the
COM2 header. Refer to the table on
the right for pin defi nitions.
LAN1/2 (Ethernet Ports)
Two Gigabit Ethernet ports (desig-
nated LAN1 and LAN2) are located
beside the COM2 port. These Ether-
net ports accept RJ45 type cables.
Note: NC indicates no connection.

ATX PS/2 Keyboard and
PS/2 Mouse Ports
The ATX PS/2 keyboard and the
PS/2 mouse ports are located on the
IO backplane. The mouse is the top
(green) port. See the table on the
right for pin defi nitions.
