High De nition Audio (HDA)
The X7DAL-E+ features a 7.1+2 Channel High
De nition Audio (HDA) (J2) codec that provides
10DAC channels, simultaneously supporting 7.1
sound playback with 2 channels of independent
stereo sound output with multiple streaming
through the front panel stereo out to the front L&R,
rear L&R, center and subwoofer speakers. Use
the advanced software included in the CD-ROM
that came with your motherboard to enable this
function. Sound is then output through the Line
In, Line Out and MIC jacks (see the graphics at
right). Enable JPAC to use this feature.

CD Header/Front Panel Accessible
Audio Header
A 4-pin CD header (CD2) and a Front Panel
Accessible Audio header (J14) are located on
the motherboard. These headers allow you to
use the onboard sound for audio CD playback.
Connect an audio cable from your CD drive to
the header that ts your cable's connector. Only
one CD header can be used at a time. See the
tables at right for pin de nitions.
