1 Click New > MasterDocument.
or
Open an existing documentand click File > Send > CreateMasterDocument.
2 Insert subdocuments.
3 ClickFile Save.
The LibreOffice help files contain more completeinformation about workingwith
master documents.Look for the topic entitled Working with Master Documentsand
Subdocuments.
5.5 UsingWriteras HTMLEditor
In addition to being a full-featured word processor,Writer also functionsas an HTML
editor. WriterincludesHTMLtags that can be applied the same way as any other
style in a Writer document.You can view the documentas it will appearonline, or
you can directly edit the HTMLcode.
1 ClickFile > New> HTMLDocument.
2 PressF11 to open the Stylesand Formattingwindow.
3 Clickthe arrow at the bottomof the Stylesand Formattingwindow.
4 SelectHTML Styles.
5 Createyour HTMLdocument,using the stylesto tag your text.
6 ClickFile > Save As.
7 Selectthe locationwhere you wantto saveyour file,namethe file,and select
HTML Document(.html) from the File Type list.
8 Click OK.
If you preferto edit HTMLcode directly,or if you want to seethe HTMLcode created
when you edited the HTML file as a Writer document,click View > HTML Source. In
HTML Source mode, the Formatting and Styleslist is not available.The first time you
switchto HTML Source mode, you are prompted to save the file as HTML,if you have
not already doneso.
5.6 Tables
You can include tabular data in the Writer,Impress and Draw module.Insertbasic
tables directly into your documenteitherwith the following menus items or by using
the toolbar:
