TOOLS NEEDED TO INSTALL
Saber saw, drill, ruler, caulking gun and
tools needed for faucet work.
Panels mount directly to walls with
furnished adhesive. Panels come with
factory applied pressure sensitive tape
affixed to the outside edges.

THE HOLES IN THE CORNER PANELS ARE
FOR MANUFACTURING PURPOSES ONLY!
FILLER BOARD
Measure the height of the tiles from
the tub ledge upward. If the tiles
measure less than 58", it is necessary
to install a filler board. The filler board
must equal the thickness of the tile.
Usually, 1/4" masonite or similar
material is adequate. For best results,
extend the filler board from the top
tile edge to the ceiling.
Cut equal amounts of each side panel
if area is less than 57" wide.

Before installing a TUB WALL KIT ––
measure the width of your back wall.
TUB WALL KIT panels will extend to 62"
wide. If your measurement is less than
57", it will be necessary to cut off an
equal amount from each short side of
both end panels to assure centering of
back panel. Cut equal amounts of each
side panel if area is less than 57" wide.
END PANELS NOTE:
Both end panels are identical except for the factory
applied tape pattern on the back sides. The bottom
edges, which rest on the tub, have not been taped.
This will enable you to distinguish the left panel
from the right.

Antes de instalar un KIT DE PARED DE BAÑERA –– mida la anchura de la pared pos-
terior. Los paneles del KIT DE PARED DE BAÑERA extenderán hasta 62" de ancho. Si
la medida es menos de 57", será necesario cortar pedazos iguales de cada lado corto
de los dos paneles al extremo para asegurar la posición central del panel posterior.
Corte cantidades iguales de cada panel del lado si el area es menos que 57" de ancha.
TABLERO LLENADOR
Mida la altura de las baldosas de la
borde de la bañera hacía arriba. Si
miden las baldosas menos que 58",
será necesario instalar tablero llenador.
Es necesario que el tablero llenador equivale la espesura de la baldosa. Normalmente,
el masonite de 1/4" o materia parecida es adecuada. Por los resultados mejores,
extienda el tablero llenador del borde de la baldosa más arriba hacía el techo.
La Instalación sobre PLACAS DE YESO,
PLACAS DE TABIQUES O MADERA:
A. La superficie necesita estar seca, lisa, sin
polvo, sin capa de jabón o no tener
ningún tipo de contaminante. Pásele un
trapo húmedo a la pared.
B. Para asegurar la adhesión correcta entre el
producto de Swanstone y Placas de Yeso/
Placas de Tabiques/Madera, es major
emplear una base/selladora, y es IMPOR-
TANTE seguir estas directrices. No se debe
utilizar las bases/selladoras derivadas del
petróleo como Bin-Seal o la pintura esmalte
de multiuso para cubrir la superficie entera
de la pared (Placa de Yeso/Placas de
Tabiques/Madera). Se la debe aplicar solo a
las áreas donde se pega la cinta de dos
caras a la superficie de la pared. Se puede
utilizar las bases/selladoras derivadas
del agua (como la pintura látex) para cubrir
la superficie de la pared entera (Placa de
Yeso/Placas de Tabiques/Madera).
C. Cuando la base/selladora está completa-
mente seca, completa la instalación
siguiendo la página de instrucción.
La Instalación sobre YESO:
A. La superficie necesita estar seca, lisa, sin
polvo, sin capa de jabón o no tener
ningún tipo de contaminante. Pásele un
trapo húmedo a la pared.
B. La superficie (si tiene textura, necesita
estar lijada), necesita estar aplicada con
base (Bin-Seal u otra base/selladora).
C. Cuando la base/sellador está completa-
mente seca, completa la instalación
siguiendo la página de instrucción.
La instalación sobre CEMENTO/CONCRETO:
A. La superficie necesita estar seca, lisa, sin
polvo, sin capa de jabón o no tener
ningún tipo de contaminante. Pásele un
trapo húmedo a la pared.
B. El area completa necesita estar aplicada con
dos bases (Bin-Seal u otra base/selladora).
C. Cuando la base/selladora está completa-
mente seca, completa la instalación
siguiendo la página de instrucción.
La instalación sobre AZULEJO VIEJO:
A. Lija la superficie del azulejo con una
lijadora usando papel de lija, arenilla de 60.
B. La superficie necesita estar seca, lisa, sin
polvo, sin capa de jabón o no tener
ningún tipo de contaminante. Pásele un
trapo húmedo a la pared.
C. Por adhesión correcta, la superficie de la
pared necesita estar aplicada con base
(Bin-Seal u otra base/selladora).
D. Cuando la base/selladora está completa-
mente seca, completa la instalación
siguiendo la página de instrucción.
La instalación sobre EMPAPELADO:
A. Remueva todo el empapelado del area. La
superificie necesita estar seca, lisa, sin
polvo, sin capa de jabón o no tener
ningún tipo de contaminante. Pásele un
trapo húmedo a la pared.
B. El area completa necesita estar aplicada con
dos bases (Bin-Seal u otra base/selladora).
C. Cuando la base/selladora está completa-
mente seca, completa la instalación
siguiendo la página de instrucción.
La instalación sobre CONGLOMERADO:
A. La superficie necesita estar seca, lisa, sin
polvo, sin capa de jabón o no tener
ningún tipo de contaminante. Pásele un
trapo húmedo a la pared.
B. Por adhesión correcta, la superficie de la
pared necesita estar aplicada con base
(Bin-Seal u otra base/selladora).
C. Cuando la base/selladora está completa-
mente seca, completa la instalación
siguiendo la página de instrucción.
NOTA: CERÁMICO: HAY QUE REMOVER LOS AZULEJOS SUELTOS.

LOS INSTRUMENTOS
NECESARIOS PARA INSTALAR
Sierra sable, taladro, regla, pistola de
calafateo y los instrumentos necesarios
para trabajar con los grifos.
Se fijan los paneles directamente a la
pared con el adhesivo proveído. Vienen
los paneles con cinta de la presión sen-
sible aplicada a los bordes exteriores.

NOTACION DE LOS PANELES AL
EXTREMO:
Los dos paneles al extremo son idénticos menos el
diseño de la cinta aplicada en los dos lados poste-
riores. Los bordes del fondo que descansan en la
bañera no tienen cinta. Este le ayuda distinguir el
panel izquierdo del derecho.

WALL SURFACE PREPARATION FOR BATHTUB WALL UNITS
When installing over SHEETROCK/
GREENBOARD/WOOD:
A. Surface must be dry, smooth and free of any
dust, soap scum or any other contaminants.
Wipe wall surface with damp cloth.
B. To insure proper adhesion between the
Swanstone product and Sheetrock/
Greenboard/Wood, it is best to use a primer/
sealer, and it is IMPORTANT to follow these
guidelines: Oil based primer/sealers (such as
Bin-Seal or all purpose enamel paint) should
NOT be used to cover the entire wall surface
(Sheetrock/Greenboard/Wood) but only should
be applied at the areas where the double-
faced tape adheres to the wall surface.
Water based primers/sealers (such as latex
paint) MAY be ued to cover the entire wall
surface (Sheetrock/Greenboard/Wood).
C. After primer/sealer is completely dry,
complete the installation following the
installation sheet.
When installing over PLASTER:
A. Surface must be dry, smooth and free of any
dust, soap scum or any other contaminants.
Wipe wall surface with a damp cloth.
B. The wall surface (textured/swirled finish must
be sanded smooth) must be sealed with a
primer (Bin-Seal or other primer/sealer).
C. After primer/sealer is completely dry,
complete the installation following the
installation sheet.
When installing over CEMENT/CONCRETE:
A. Surface must be dry, smooth and free of any
dust, soap scum or any other contaminants.
Wipe wall surface with a damp cloth.
B. The complete area must be sealed with
two coats of primer. (Bin-Seal or other
primer/sealer).
C. After primer/sealer is completely dry,
complete the installation following the
installation sheet.
When installing over OLD TILE:
A. Rough up the glossy tile surface by belt
sanding the wall area with 60-grit sandpaper.
B. Surface must be dry, smooth and free of
any dust, or any other contaminants. Wipe
wall surface with a damp cloth.
C. For proper adhesion, the wall surface must
be sealed with a primer (Bin-Seal or other
primer sealer).
D. After primer/sealer is completely dry,
complete the installation following the
installation sheet.
When installing over WALL PAPER:
A. All wallpaper must be removed from the
area to be covered. Surface must be dry,
smooth and free of any dust, soap scum or
any other contaminants. Wipe wall surface
with a damp cloth.
B. The complete wall surface area to be covered
by unit must be sealed with two coats of
primer (Bin-Seal or other primer sealer).
C. After primer/sealer is completely dry,
complete the installation following the
installation sheet.
When installing over MASONITE:
A. Surface must be dry, smooth and free of any
dust, soap scum or any other contaminants.
Wipe wall surface with a damp cloth.
B. For proper adhesion, the wall surface must
be sealed with a primer (Bin-Seal or other
primer sealer).
C. Complete the installation following the
installation sheet.
NOTE: CERAMIC: LOOSE TILE MUST BE REMOVED.
