Possibility of Hazardous Reactions
Use at elevated temperatures may form highly hazardous compounds. Can react with strong
oxidizing agents. Acetic acid is formed upon contact with water or humid air. When heated to
temperatures above 150 °C (300 °F) in the presence of air, trace quantities of formaldehyde
may be released. Adequate ventilation is required. See OSHA formaldehyde standard, 29 CFR
1910.1048 Hazardous decomposition products will be formed at elevated temperatures.
