Drive Belt Routing & Replacement
For replacement belt part number refer to Replacement Parts Quick Reference Chart in this manual.
Removal
Disconnect spark plug wire.
Make sure machine is on level ground.
Remove hood.
Make sure the drive pedal is disengaged.
Remove belt from the drive and jackshaft pulleys.
If the belt tension is too tight to remove, one of the
pulleys may need to be removed as well.
Replacement
Install new belt by placing it around the jackshaft pulley first, then around the idler pulleys and drive
pulley. Refer to routing diagram below.
The belt will be loose once installed. This is by design.
Manually engage the drive pedal to make sure there is adequate belt tension.
The belt tension may need to be tightened or loosened using the pedal linkage rods.
Important: When the pedal is completely disengaged the brake pad should be fully engaging the
drive pulley.
Reinstall the hood.
Reconnect spark plug wire.
