If the cursor is located at the symbol of a message,
• on the first line, the time and date of receipt of the message is displayed
• on the second line, the address name is displayed
• on the third line, the first line of the message text is displayed
Depending on the configuration of the pager, the first row (time and date) is not displayed on receipt of a
message. To display this header, the upper key (1) has to be pressed.
6.1.2 Read message
With the lower key (3) a folder or a single message can be selected. Press the middle key (2) to enter into
a message folder or into a single message.
For message folders or messages with more than 2 lines, the upper (1) and lower keys (2) are used to
scroll up and down. Scrolling of very long messages or folders is done in steps of 4 lines. The end of a
message or a message folder is signalled by a mini beep and/or vibration.
If a folder or a message has more than 4 lines, arrows and / or a vertical scroll bar appear on the right side
of the "display 1". On "display 2" the arrows appear on the left side.
To return to the main menu, press the middle key (2).
6.1.3 Delete message(s)
This function allows the deletion of all messages of a message folder or of each single message. To do
this, move the cursor to a folder or a message and confirm the selection by pressing the middle key (2).
Before the deletion is executed, the question ‘Are You sure?’ arises. Confirm with the middle key(2) to
delete the message(s), or the upper key to cancel the operation.
To delete all single messages, select the single message folder M.
To return to the main menu, press the upper key (2).
6.1.4 Save message
Select the message to be saved by means of the lower key (3). Press the middle key (2) to confirm the
saving operation. The message is now stored in the safe message folder and cannot be deleted by new
incoming messages anymore. If the safe message folder is full, old messages have to be deleted to gain
space for a new message to be saved. Only single messages, not belonging to a message folder, can be
saved.
To return to the main menu, press the upper key (1).
6.1.5 Switch RIC on and off
Each address (RIC) can be switched on and off. If an address is switched off, incoming messages are
ignored. Switching off of RICs has no impact on power consumption.
