- Keep pressing upper key (1) until the desired sub-menu icon blinks. The text and
symbols corresponding to the sub-menu are displayed in the space shown in the
above illustration.
- Use lower key (3) to select desired setting.
- Exit sub-menu using middle key (2).
- Press upper key (1) to move to the next sub-menu function.
- When no key is pressed for 16 seconds, the pager automatically switches to
message icon display.

Four settings of volume are possible:
short beep low tone beep
loud tone beep beep tone increasing from low to high
The beep samples are described in section 7.2.
Programming option: Priority call
Priority calls are urgend and hence the alerting is done with loud beep.
