The batteries
are empty wit-

time
− The batteries are empty or defective.
− Place the handset in the base station pro-
perly. Clean the contact surfaces on the
handset and base station with a soft, dry
cloth.
− Place the handset in the base station for 14
hours.
The caller
number dis-
play (CLIP

does not func-
tion
− The caller number display function is a sup-
plementary service offered by telephone net-
work providers. Contact your network provi-
der for further information.
− The caller has suppressed the transmission
of their phone number.
The answering
machine does
not record any
messages
− Ensure that the answering machine is con-
nected correctly and switched on.
− Check whether the answering machine me-
mory is full. Delete messages from the me-
