Answer delay
You can select from 2 to 9 ringing tones or the Toll−saver setting for pre−remote access free of
charge. Free pre−remote access means: If your call is taken after 2 rings, there are new mes-
sages on the answering machine. If no new messages have been recorded, the call is taken after
6 rings. Therefore, replace the receiver before the 6th ring. This means that no charges ensue.
Press the button in the main menu to open the Answer delay menu.

Settings made on the answering machine are played back vocally in English.
You can listen−in to the caller without actually taking the call. If the answering machine has
already taken the call, you can take it at any time personally by pressing the Call button
on the handset. Recording of the message is automatically stopped in this case.
Switching the answering machine on/off
Press the button to switch the answering machine on or off.
After switching the answering machine on, the outgoing message, heard by the caller, is played
back.
Setting number of rings for taking a call
It is possible to set the number of times the telephone should ring before the answering machine takes
the calls. The number of rings can be set between 2 and 9. In addition, the toll−saver" setting is avail-
able to use the free pre−remote access function for the answering machine ( Page 59).
Press and hold the button until the required setting appears in
the display. Then simply release the button. The setting is
saved. The announcement verifies the setting made.
