12.8 Remote access
The remote access feature enables the answering machine to be contacted from any
phone using Tone dialling mode
in order to listen to any incoming messages and/or the
memo and activate other functions.
12.8.1 Security code for remote access
The answering machine is provided with a personal identification number so only you
can listen to incoming messages via the remote access feature.
The default security code set at the factory is 000".
The 3−digit security code can be changed as follows:
" Activate security code programming
or , " Enter the first digit of the code and confirm it
or , " Enter the second digit of the code and confirm it
or , " Enter the third digit of the code and confirm it
The new security code is played back.
12.8.2 Playing back messages via remote access
The telephone from which you want to contact the answering machine must
operate using Tone dialling mode (DTMF).
Dial your own phone number
While the OGM is playing, press the button and
enter the security code (refer to Section 12.8.1)
If the security code is entered incorrectly three times, the line is automatically
disconnected.
Play back all the messages
Other functions can be executed via the remote access system within the follo-
wing
10 seconds (refer to Section 12.8.3).
Press the button to end the call
12.8.3 Function keys for remote access
The functions assigned to the buttons are dependent on the mode currently activated.
The following table provides an overview of the respective functions assigned to the indi-
vidual buttons.
