HOW TO REMOVE A TICK
1.
Push the Tick Tool flat on the skin
against the tick, with the head of the
tick facing into the V-cleft. The imprint
“UP” must be readable. Try to guide the
tick into the V-cleft of the tool until the
tick’s head is gripped and clamped by
the Tick Tool. Note: Put the Tick Tool on
the tick’s head and not on the body; to
remove ticks, use only the Tick Tool, not
the tweezers of the pocket knife.
2.
Maintain constant pressure on the skin
as you remove the tick, most effec-
tively achieved in a smooth continuous
movement.
3.
With the integrated magnifying glass
you can now check the bite site. If parts
of the tick remain in the skin, they are
normally expelled naturally. Treat the
bite area with a disinfectant and check
it regularly for possible signs of Lyme
disease infection. If there is a reddening
of the skin in a circle of at least 5 cm
around the tick bite, consult your doctor.
