11. Commissioning of the Digital Recorder
a) Operation

the enclosed CD.
b) Access to the Setup Menu, Enter Password
To enter the setup menu for making any settings, you need to log on as administrator to have all setting functions at
your disposal.
Brieyright-clickacamerascreentodisplaythemenu.Left-click"MainMenu";aninputwindowwillappear:
User name: admin
Password: 123456
c) Formatting Hard Disc
At initial commissioning, the hard disc you installed must be formatted in the setting menu of the digital recorder. All
lesontheharddiscwillbelost.
If you do not format the hard disc, you cannot record any videos from the connected surveillance cameras.
d) Note Regarding Software Installation in a 64bit Windows Operating System
Ifyouareusinga64bitoperatingsystem(Windows7orhigher),rstinstalltheCMS2000software(ignoreanyerror
messages).
Thenyouwillndthetwoprograms"vcredist_x86.exe"and"vcredist_x86_C.exe"inthesoftwaredirectoryonyour
computer. Start them. Then the CMS2000 software can be used with the 64bit operating system.
12. Select the Operating Mode of the Surveillance
Cameras
The surveillance cameras offer 4 different operating modes or video output signals to be compatible with different
digital recorders:
• CVBS (analogue standard PAL-/NTSC-video signal)
• AHD("AnalogueHighDenition")
• CVI ("Composite Video Interface")
• TVI ("Transport Video Interface")
