Operating instructions
Recessed LED light
“Round Equi”, 15 W
• The product is designed according to protection class III.
• The LED light may be operated only by a constant current source; use a
suitable ballast (LED driver). Refer to chapter “Technical Data”.
Operation with commercially available halogen transformers, power
supply units or the like is not possible, this will destroy the lightand void the
warranty!
• The LED light may only be installed and used in dry indoor rooms, it must
not become damp or wet.
• Only use the lamp when it is permanently mounted.
• Do not use this light in rooms or under adverse ambient conditions where
combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not hang or attach objects (e.g. decorative material) to the light, there is
a risk of fi re!
• Caution, LED light:
Do not look directly into the LED light!
Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong
vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device
must be turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not
used unintentionally. After this, arrange for an expert to check the product.
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (where there is fl ickering
light, leaking smoke or a burning smell, audible crackling noises, or discol-
ouration of the product or adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployer’s Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating
Facilities are to be observed.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please con-
tact our technical service or another specialist.
Preparations for Installation
Please consult the chapter “Safety Instructions”!
• Install the light only on a stable base, e.g. in a dropped interior ceiling (e.g. ceiling
panel).
• The light is only intended to be placed and used in dry indoor rooms, it must not
become damp or wet.
• Do not install the light in or on surfaces that are highly fl ammable or catch fi re easily.
• Keep suffi cient distance between the light-emitting opening of the light and the
exposed surfaces, otherwise this may result in discolouration of the exposed
surface. Furthermore, there is a fi re hazard.
• The LED light may not be embedded in the insulating material, as this may cause
overheating of the light. This will not only lead to a reduced operating life but it also
constitutes a risk of fi re! We recommend a minimum distance of 10 cm.
• The light must be installed and used out of the reach of children.
• Installation and connection of the LED light may be done only in the absence of
any voltage.

Intended use
The product is intended for illuminating indoor areas; it may only be installed and used
in dry, enclosed indoor rooms. The product is intended for installation in suspended
ceilings.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and
involves the risk of short circuits, fi re, electric shock, etc.

Explanation of Symbols, Inscriptions
This symbol indicates specifi c risks associated with handling, function
and use.
The “arrow” symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
The light is intended to be located and used only in dry indoor spaces;
it must not become damp or wet.
Do not embed the light in the insulating material during installation
and subsequent use, since this may lead to the light overheating.
Furthermore, there is a fi re hazard!
Keep a minimum clearance between the light outlet and the illumi-
nated areas (e.g., easily fl ammable objects such as curtains or the
like). The appropriate minimum distance is specifi ed on the bulb
(in the illustration to the left, the minimum distance is 0.5 m).

Safety Instructions
Read the complete operating manual carefully before using the product,
as it contains important information about the correct installation and
operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to ob-
serve these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
resulting damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instruc-
tions! The warranty will be void in such cases!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not
install it yourself but entrust the work to a qualifi ed electrician.
• Unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not allowed
for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children!
