5. Safety Notes
Read the operating instructions attentively and particularly observe the safety notes. If
the safety notes and the information in these operating instructions regarding proper
handling are not observed, we assume no liability for any resulting injury/property dam-
age. In such cases, the warranty/guarantee will also lapse.
 • Thesurveillance camera mustonlybeconnected to astabiliseddirect current voltageof
12 V/DC. The inner contact of the low-voltage round plug must conduct plus/+, the outer
contact minus/-.
 • Theproductisnotatoy.Keepitawayfromchildrenandpets.
 • Donotleavepackagingmateriallyingaroundcarelessly.Itmaybecomeadangeroustoyfor
children.
 • Theproductissuitableforindoorandoutdooruse(IP66).However,itmustneverbeoperated
in or under water; it would be destroyed by this.
 • Theconnectionplugsatthesurveillancecamera'sconnectioncablearenotwater-proofor
water-tight and therefore must be in a dry indoor area or protected accordingly.
 • Ensurethattheconnectioncableisnotcrushed,bentordamagedbysharpedges.
 • Protecttheproductfromextremetemperaturesdirectsunlight,strongvibrations,ammable
gases, vapours and solvents.
 • Handletheproductwithcare.Impact,blowsorfallsfromevenalowheightwilldamagethe
product.
 • Donotsubjecttheproducttomechanicalstress.
 • Alsoobservethesafetynotesandoperatinginstructionsoftheotherdevicestowhichthe
product is connected.
 • TheIRlightisnotvisibletothehumaneye.Therefore,itisnotevidentwhetheranIR-LEDis
lit or not. Due to the intensity of the installed IR-LED, there is a danger of eye damage if you
lookatitfromashortdistance(<2m).
