7. Connection
The surveillance camera has a connection cable with two plugs at the end.
ThevideosignalisavailableviatheBNCconnector,e.g.torecorditonaDVR(digitalvideorecorder).Use
a matching adapter if you cannot use a BNC video cable.
The camera is connected to the external voltage supply via the round socket (direct voltage,
12V/DC).Amatchingroundplugisrequiredforconnection,outerdiameter5.5mm,innerdia-meter2.1mm.
The outer contact of the round plug must conduct minus/-, the inner contact plus/+.
Incorrect connection or wrong voltages will damage the camera; loss of warranty/guarantee!
If the camera is installed and operated outdoors, the two plug connectors must only be placed
in a location protected from moisture. Observe chapter 6. If this is not observed, there will be
corrosion of the plug connectors!

Atcommissioning,youneedtorstselectthedesiredoperatingmodeatthesurveillancecam-
era, see chapter 8.
Otherwise, no picture will be shown or you will only see interferences.
After selecting the operating mode and seeing the proper display on your screen, you can align the surveil-
lance camera correctly so that the desired picture section can be monitored and recorded on your DVR.
The IR-LED of the surveillance camera is activated automatically at darkness. The IR light is, however, not
visible to the human eye. Observe that the image is displayed in black and white instead of colour on a
collected screen at night.
