12. “System” submenu
See section 11 for instructions on how to access the main menu and the corresponding submenu.
The following functions are available:
“Network” Congurethenetworkconnectionsettings(e.g.staticordynamicIPaddress)and
view network information
“Date / Time” Set the date and time
“Language” Select the language for the main menu
“Record Mode” Choose whether to overwrite existing recordings when the storage device (SD card
or USB stick) is full
“Format SD/USB” Format the SD card or USB storage device
“Storage for recording” Select which storage device (SD card or USB storage device) to use for video
recordings
“Display Items” Display additional symbols for signal strength, SD/USB status, short description/
channel number of the wireless camera (C1....C4), network status
“System Information” Displaysysteminformation(e.g.rmwareversion)
“System Upgrade” Installnewrmwareforthemonitor/DVRorwirelesscameras
“Scan Mode Period” Congurehowlongeachcameraimageisdisplayedfor.
“Mute” Mute/unmute the monitor/DVR speaker
“Load Default” Restore factory settings
“Brightness” Set the screen brightness
“Volume” Adjust the volume
“Alarm Volume” Sett the alarm volume
“Power Saving Mode” Congurepowersavingmodes
“About” View software (e.g. GPL)
a) “Network” function
Use a 1:1 network cable to connect the RJ45 socket on the monitor/DVR to your router or a network switch. Use the
enclosednetworkcableoranothercablewiththesamespecications.
If possible, connect the monitor/DVR directly to the router. Multiple network switches between the monitor/
DVR and router can cause interference.
Bydefault,themonitor/DVRisconguredtouseDHCP.IfthereisaDHCPserveronyournetwork(mostrouters
feature a built-in DHCP server) and this is enabled, each device will automatically obtain an IP address. If you wish to
use static IP addresses, you will need to assign an IP address to the monitor/DVR.
Youcancongurethesettingsusingthetouchscreenorthearrowbuttons“ ”, “ ”, “ ” and “ ” 27 and the
“ ” button (28) on the IR remote control.
