a) “Pairing” function
Use this function to pair the wireless camera with the monitor/DVR. This ensures that the wireless camera only trans-
mits the camera image to one monitor/DVR – other devices have no access to the camera image.
By default, the wireless camera should automatically connect to the monitor/DVR (as camera #1), therefore it should
not be necessary to pair them manually.
However, if you purchase additional wireless cameras (the monitor/DVR can connect to up to 4 wireless cameras),
these must be connected to the monitor/DVR.
For security reasons, each camera can only be connected to one monitor/DVR. It is therefore not possible
to send the signal from one camera to two or more monitors/DVRs.
Only one camera can be connected to each monitor/DVR channel. If a wireless camera is already con-
nected to a channel, it will be automatically disconnected when you connect a new camera.
For security reasons, the devices must be paired within 35 seconds, therefore ensure that the monitor/DVR
and camera are in close proximity (at least 1 m apart). Alternatively, you can ask someone to help you pair
the devices.
To pair the monitor/DVR with the camera, proceed as follows:
Attach the antenna to the camera, and then connect the camera to the power supply (if you have not already done
so).
After selecting this option on the monitor/DVR, use the touchscreen (or the “ ” and “ ” arrow buttons on the IR
remote control) to select one of the four camera channels (the selected channel must be available).
To start the pairing process, touch the “ ” symbol on the touchscreen, or press the “ ” button (28) on the IR
remote control.
Within the next 35 seconds, press and hold the pairing button (20) on the
wireless camera cable for 2 seconds (see right-hand image).
After the 35 seconds has elapsed, a message will be displayed on the moni-
tor/DVR indicating whether the pairing process was successful.
