20. Range
The wireless camera has a range of up to 300 m in optimal conditions.
This range can only be achieved when there are no obstacles. In reality, however, this is not possible (the
monitor/DVRwouldhavetobeplacedonaat,levelsurfacewithouttreesorbuildingsinthevicinity).
In most scenarios, the monitor/DVR is placed indoors, and the wireless camera is mounted to a carport,
staircase, or other area that requires surveillance.

However,therangeshouldbesufcientforuseinadetachedhouse.
If the monitor/DVR does not obtain a signal from the wireless camera, move the monitor/DVR and wireless
camera closer together or point the antenna in a different direction.

the range.
The range can be considerably reduced by:
• Walls and reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated/double-glazed windows, aluminium windows etc.
• Trees, bushes, soil and rocks
• Proximity to metal and conducting objects (e.g. radiators and steel doors)
• Proximity to people
• Broadband interference, e.g. in residential areas (routers, Wi-Fi devices, mobile phones, wireless headphones etc.)
• Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units and monitors
• Proximity to mains sockets and network cables
• Proximity to poorly shielded or uncovered computers or other electrical appliances
21. Care and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the
casing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Never point a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner at the wireless camera.
