9. Basic functions
a) Switching On/Off
Brieypushthebutton" " (4) on the screen/DVR for 2 seconds to switch the screen/DVR on or off. With the screen/
DVR switched on, the small red power LED (3) to the left of the button lights up.
TheLi-Ion-rechargeablebatteryinstalledinthescreen/DVRisusuallyatatrstcommissioning.Ifthe
screen/DVR cannot be switched on, operate it via the enclosed mains adapter; the rechargeable battery is
charged as well here. Observe chapter 8.
The radio camera cannot be switched on or off. It works permanently if the voltage/power supply is con-
nected.
After activation of the screen/DVR and commissioning of the radio camera, the screen of the radio camera should
appear after a few seconds. When the signal of a radio camera is received, the LED (5) will light up green.
Ifnoimageappears,theradiocameramustbetaughtintothescreen/DVRrst.Thisisspecicallythecasewhen
you separately purchase additional radio cameras (one is enclosed, up to 3 more can be ordered as accessories; you
can operate a total of 4 radio cameras on the screen/DVR).
b) Calling/leaving OSD menu

submenu).
c) Activating/deactivating AV output
Use the button "AV" (8) to switch between playback of the AV-signal on the screen/DVR and the AV-output.
If the AV-output is activated, the screen/DVR LC-display goes out. Concurrent display on the LC display
and the AV output is not permitted.
Connect the AV output (14) to an analogue AV input of a screen or TV via the enclosed AV cable.
d) Setting the volume
The radio camera used does not have any microphone; therefore, setting of the volume via the control buttons
" " (increase volume) or " " (reduce volume) is irrelevant. The display shows the current volume with a bar display
when these buttons are pushed.
If you can hear noise from the speaker on the rear of the screen/DVR, reduce the volume to the lowest set
value.
