User manual

Current-free only when the plug is withdrawn!
Do not use the product when it is damaged (e.g. housing, mains cable,
mains switch). There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Where there is damage, dispose of the product in an environmentally correct
way.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work at all or well (leaking smoke or a smell of burn-
ing, audible cracking noises, discolouration to the product or the adjacent
surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
Only use the product in a temperate climate, never in a tropical climate.
Always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before cleaning the out-
let strip or when the device will not be in use for a long time.
Never pour any liquids above or next to the product. You run the risk of caus-
ing a re or a fatal electric shock. If any liquid has still managed to enter the
device, immediately turn off the power supply to the mains socket at which
the outlet strip is connected (turn off the fuse / circuit breaker / residual cur-
rent operated circuit breaker of the associated circuits). Only then can you
unplug the mains plug of the outlet strip from the mains socket and contact
a specialist. Do not operate the device anymore.
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the em-
ployer’s liability insurance association for electrical systems and operating
facilities are to be observed!
If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instruc-
tions, please contact our technical service or another specialist.
Getting started, use
Follow the safety instructions in this operating manual!
Plug the earthed mains plug of the outlet strip into a regular earthed mains socket
(wall socket).
Place the outlet strip in an appropriate place. Protect valuable furniture surfaces by
using a suitable underlay to prevent scratches.
Connect the consumer loads to the sockets of the outlet strip.
The connected consumer loads can be switched on or off using the mains switch on
the outlet strip.
When the outlet strip is switched on, a green control light comes on in the switch.
Furthermore, the switch features an orange control light for voltage surge protec-
tion. This light ashes when the voltage surge protection has been triggered. You
may continue using the outlet strip. However, the voltage surge protection is no
longer active.
In case of excess temperature, an integrated temperature circuit-breaker discon-
nects the power strip. The power strip can be used again after it has cooled down
sufciently (self-resetting temperature circuit-breaker).
Maintenance and cleaning
The product does not require maintenance. The product contains no parts that re-
quire servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it. Maintenance or repairs may only
be performed by qualied personnel or a specialist repair shop.
Switch off the outlet strip and disconnect it from the mains voltage before cleaning.
Disconnect the earthed mains plug from the mains socket (wall socket). Also discon-
nect all connected consumer loads from the outlet strip.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft and long-bristled brush and a vacuum
cleaner.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these can damage the housing or even impair functionality.
