a) Explanation of operating elements
• Batterycompartmentcover(1):Toopenthebatterycompartmentcover,turnfromtheCLOSE
marking(8)toOPEN.
• InfraredLED(2):Thisisinvisiblelightforrecordingobjectsinthedark.
• Cameralens(3):Wideanglelensforrecordingofasingleimageoravideo.
• TestLED(4):ThetestLEDservesasacountdowndisplayandfortestingtherangeofthe
PIRmotiondetector.
• Microphone(5):Recordssoundduringvideorecording.
• PIR motion detector (6): Detects motion and registers objects that move in thedetection
range.
• Basecover(7):Toopen,turncounterclockwise.HidesthecontrolpanelandtheLCdisplay.
• Wallbracketattachment(9):Attachtheincludedwallbracket(26)here.
• Strapslots(10):Feedtheincludedfasteningstrap(24)throughheretofastenthecamera
to a pole or tree.
• Battery compartment (11): Holds 4 type C 1.5 V batteries (batteries are not included in
delivery).
• Tripodattachment(12):Attachyourowntripodhere.
• CoverforAC poweradaptersocket(13): OpenthecovertoattachanACadaptertothe
camera.Closethecoverifnoadapterisconnectedtopreventwaterfromenteringthedevice.

batteries before you begin the pre-take feature.
