10. Battery and power adapter operation
Warning
Donotusebatterieswithadifferentvoltageratingthanspeciedinthismanual.Use
ofbatterieswithotherspecicationswillresultindamagetothecameraandthe
warrantywillbevoid.
Warning
Alwaysturnoffthecamerabeforeremovingorinsertingbatteries.Removalof
batteries during operation can damage the camera.
Thecameraisdesignedtorunwithtwodifferentvoltagetypes.Itcanbeoperatedwithbatteries
oranACadapter.NeitherbatteriesnoranACadapterareincludedindeliveryandmustbe
providedbytheuser.
a) Battery operation
• Make sure that the camera is switched off. The TEST OFF CAM PSET switch must be in
the OFF position.
• The product operates on 4 type C 1.5 V batteries. It is recommended that you use only
high-quality batteries.
• Toopenthebatterycompartmentcover(1),turnfromtheCLOSE marking to OPEN and lift
itoffthedevice.
• Insert4typeC1.5Vbatteriesintothebatterycompartment(11).Wheninsertingthebatteries,
observecorrectpolarity(+/-)asindicatednexttothebatterycompartment.
• Replace the battery compartment cover with the marker point at the OPEN marking.
PressdownthebatterycompartmentcoverandturnittotheCLOSE position. The battery
compartmentcoverisclosed.
