b) Mains operation with an external AC adapter

Theproductfeaturesa12V/DCconnectionjackandthusenablesoperationwithanexternalAC

adapter(notincludedindelivery).AconnectorwiththefollowingdimensionsisrequiredforAC

adapterjack:OuterØ5.5mm/innerØ2.1mm.

BatteryoperationisdeactivatedduringACadapteroperationtopreventbatteriesfrombeing

drained.Thebatteriesneednotbetakenoutofthedevicefornormaloperation.

ButthebatteriesmustberemovedfromthedeviceifthePRE-TAKEfeatureisactive.

Connect a suitable AC adapter as follows:

• Make sure that the camera is switched off. The TEST OFF CAM PSET switch must be in

the OFF position.

• Openthecover(13)fortheDC 12Vconnectionjack(20).Connecttheconnectorplugonyour

AC adapter to the DC 12Vjack.ObservecorrectpolarityasindicatednexttotheACadapter

jackwhenconnectinganACadapter.

• After disconnecting theAC adapter,close the DC 12V jack cover to prevent water from

enteringthedevice.

11. SD card

Warning

AlwaysturnoffthecamerabeforeremovingorinsertinganSDcard.Removalofan

SD card during operation can damage the camera.

IftheSDcardisfullafterrecording,thecamerawillstopandtheLCdisplayshows

“FULL”.

TheSDcardslotacceptsClass6SDcardsandlower(backwardcompatibletoClass2)withup

to32GB.AnSDcardisnotincludedindelivery.TheLCdisplayshowsthenumberofimages

savedontheSDcard.IfthereisnoSDcardintheslot,theLCdisplayshows“NOSd”(noSD).

RecordingwithoutanSDcardisnotpossibleasthecameradoesnotfeatureinternalmemory.
