• TheLCdisplayashes“E-7:00”(E=end,07:00=timeinHH:MM).Followtheprevioussteps
to set the hours and minutes for the end of the recording time.
• Press the Mbuttontoleavethemenu.
• Set the TEST OFF CAM PSET switch to OFF to end programming.
• Set the TEST OFF CAM PSET switch to CAM toactivatethecamerafortheprogrammed
recording mode.
Examples and recommendations for time lapse mode
Example 1:
Time lapse mode has been programmed with a start time of 7:00 am and an end time of 8:30
pm with a time-out period of 3 minutes and multi-shot of 3 images. This means that the camera
shoots3imagesevery3minutesbetween7:00amand8:30pm.
Example 2:
Time lapse mode has been programmed with a start time of 00:00 and an end time of 00:00 with
a time-out period of 5 minutes and multi-shot of 3 images. This means that the camera shoots
3imagesevery5minutesthroughouttheday.
To ensure a long battery life and many still images, the following is highly
recommended:
Batteries:Usehigh-qualityalkalinebatteries(typeC)
Imageresolution:5MP(1star),time-outperiod:30or60seconds
13. Setting up the camera for eld trips
Youmayuseyourcameraoutdoorsoroneldtripsonceyouhavesetupallitsprogramming
settings. Here are some useful tips.
• Mount the camera at a height of approximately 1.5 to 2 m. The camera should point slightly
downwards.Thebatterycompartmentcovermustpointupwards.
• Mountthecamerafacingnorthorsouth.Ifpossible,thecamerashouldnotfaceeastorwest
astherisingandsettingofthesunmayinadvertentlytriggeritandresultinoverexposed
images.
