• Removeanybranchesandshrubberyinfrontofthecamerathatmightobstructtheimage.
Also remember that wind may blow shrubbery into the detection range and that high
temperatures may affect image quality.
• Check the batteries before turning on the camera.
• Make sure that an SD card is inserted before the camera is turned on.
• Makesurethatthecameraisintheoperatingmode“CAM”or“PSET”,notintestmode,
beforeyouleavethearea.
• Check that the time and date are set correctly.
• Makesurethatthecaseisclosedproperlytopreventwaterfromenteringthecamera.
• Pleasenotethatapprox.10secondsafterturningonthecamera,thetestLEDashesfor
approx.60seconds.Leavethedetectionareawithin60secondstopreventinadvertently
activatingthecamera.
a) Fastening the camera
• Fasten the camera to a tree, a wallor another xedobject using thesupplied fastening
strap(24)ortheincludedwallbracket(26).
• Thecameracanbescrewedontothewallbracketattachment(9)onthewallbracket.
• Pre-drillcorrespondingholesinthesurfacetofastenthewallbrackettoawall.Ifnecessary,
youcanusetheprovidedscrewsandwallanchorstofastenthewallbracket.
• Select an appropriate mounting surface.
• Highlight the position of the mounting holes on the mounting surface using a pencil or the like.
Use the wall bracket as a template.
• Drill the four mounting holes in the surface.
Whendrillingholesandtighteningthescrews,makesurenottodamageanypower
lines or gas or water pipes below the surface.
• Screw the product to the surface.
• Loosenthesetscrewoftheballjointtoswivelandtiltthehousinginthedesiredposition.Lock
the position by re-tightening the set screw.
• Attachthecamerawiththebatterycompartmentcoveralwaysontoptopreventwaterfrom
entering the control panel and LC display.
