c) Using the camera in time lapse mode (TLS)
• Openthebasecover(7)andsettheTEST OFF CAM PSET switch to CAM or PSET.
• Afterapprox.30seconds,thecountdownstartsandthebluetestLEDashesforapprox.
60seconds.Leavethedetectionarea.
• Afterthe60-secondcountdown,thecameraswitchestotimelapsemode.Thecamerabegins
recording when motion is detected.
MakesurethatthecameraisinTLSmode.Refertochapter12.,sectionc)“Setting
imageorvideorecording”ifyouarenotsure.
14. PRE-TAKE function
ThePRE-TAKEfunctionwasdesignedspecicallyforsurveillancepurposes.Thefeatureisonly
availablewhenthedeviceisconnectedtoanexternalACadapter.Removebatteriesbefore
connecting an AC adapter.
Anytime-outsettingswillbeignoredwhenyouactivatethePRE-TAKEfunctionandthecamera
willrecordimagesorvideowithoutatime-outperiod.Assoonasmotiondetectionisactive,the
camerarecordsaccordingtotheprogrammedsettings.Therecordingsaretriggeredviamotion
detection(PIRmode)andsavedtotheSDcard.
TosavepowerinPRE-TAKEmodeandtopreventtheIRLEDsfromoverheating,the
IRLEDsashindarkenvironmentsbeforethecameraactivates.Afterthecamera
activates,theIRLEDslightupconstantly.
• Programthecameraasdescribedinchapter12.“Settingupandprogrammingthecamera”.
• Set the TEST OFF CAM PSET switch to CAM or PSET.
• Press the PRE-TAKEbutton(16).TheLCdisplayshows“+”.
• Afterapprox.30seconds,thecountdownstartsandthebluetestLEDashesforapprox.

• Afterthe60-secondcountdown.thecameraswitchestoreadymode,asprogrammed,but
without time-out periods.
