15. Night vision with IR LED
Atdark,theIRLEDsactivateautomaticallytoimproveanyrecordings.TheIRLEDsareenabled
in both image and camera mode.
Any recordings will be black and white only. Colour recording is not possible in combination
withtheIRLEDs.
SincetheIRLEDsareturnedon,thecurrentconsumptionishigherwhennightvisionisactive.
Pleasenotethatthisreducesthebatterylife.Pleasereviewchapter19.“TechnicalData”for
current consumption data.
IR LED overheating protection
Thecamerafeaturesathermalcut-outdevicefortheIRLEDs.TheIRLEDsmayoverheatat
darkwithashorttime-outperiod(under10minutes).Assoonasthetemperatureinsidethe
cameraexceeds60°C,thecameraturnsoffautomaticallyforapprox.1hourtocooldown.The
camera then turns back on again and continues recording as programmed.
16. Editing and viewing les on a PC
You can view andeditpicturesorvideos on a PC using thesuppliedUSBcable (25).The
cameraisaplug-and-playdeviceandcanbeusedviaUSB.
The following instructions apply to the camera when it is turned off.
• BeforeyouconnectthecameraviaUSB,makesurethatthecameraisswitchedoff.The
TEST OFF CAM PSET switch must be in the OFF position.
• ConnecttheUSBMini-BplugoftheUSBcabletotheUSBport(15)onthecamera.Connect
the USB-A plug to a free USB 2.0/3.0/3.1 port on your PC/notebook.
