-
the device was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable condi-
tions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the

Installation
a) Preparations, choice of the installation location
Assembly and connection should be carried out by a specialist.
Extensive connection and programming options allow individual con gura-
tion, depending on the requirements.
We therefore recommend (if possible) setting up, programming and testing
the system before permanent assembly.
This helps in proper planning of wirings and avoiding unnecessary detection of
faults.
The code lock is suitable for both interior and exterior assembly (IP66), the
control unit may be mounted and operated in dry interiors only.
The code lock should de assembled right next to the door to be equipped with
it.
While choosing the installation location, ensure that the code lock does not
prevent the door from being opened and / or the code lock is not damaged by
the door.
The control unit should be installed at a secure and tamper-proof place, so as
to prevent the access of any visitor or guest to the control unit.
The cables between code lock and control unit may not be too long, we recom-
mend a max. length of 10 m.
Make sure to lay the cables in an invisible and secured manner, e.g. ush-
mounted or in a suitable installation pipe.
A stabilised direct current voltage of 12 - 24 V/DC must be used for operation of
the code lock and the control unit.
The code lock requires a max. current of about 145 mA, while the control unit a
max. of about 100 mA.
A system with backup rechargeable battery should be used for voltage / power
supply, so as to ensure operation of the code lock and the drive unit even if
there is power failure.
b) Mounting the code lock
Remove the ush socket from the code lock. To do this, remove both screws on
the front side using the special tool included in the delivery.
The ush socket requires a suitable hole in the wall.
While performing masonry work, ensure that existing cables or lines are not
damaged.
Fix the ush socket in the wall and lay the required cables up to the ush socket.
Allow the cable to hang out suf ciently from the ush socket.
We recommend not to plaster the cable between the code lock and control
unit, but lay in suitable installation pipes.
Use the included adapter cabel with the 6-pin connector; also, do not forget to
connect the power supply to the code lock! Moreover, follow the wiring exam-
ples illustrated in the operating instructions in English.
Insert the code lock into the ush socket and x it using the special tool pro-
vided.
The code lock can also be operated without the control unit, if con g-
ured suitably. The screw clamps are available for this purpose.
However, the door can be opened by unauthorised opening of the code
lock case and corresponding manipulation (as in many conventional
code locks)!
Use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions
The product is used e.g. for access security of doors. Additional security against
manipulation and access results from the separation of code lock (installed be-
side the door) and control unit (installed in the interior area).
A special feature is represented by the fact that access is possible not only
through the entry of user codes, but also batteryless transponders.
The code lock is suitable for both interior and exterior assembly (IP66), the con-
trol unit may be mounted and operated in dry interiors only.
The code lock and the control unit work at an operating voltage of 12 - 24 V/DC.
Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover,
this may give rise to hazards such as short-circuiting, re, electric shock, etc. No
part of the product may be modi ed or converted!
