1 Introduction Dear customer, Thank you for purchasing this product. This product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. To maintain this status and to ensure safe operation, you as the user must observe these operating instructions! These operating instructions are part of this product. They contain important notes on commissioning and handling. Also consider this if you pass on the product to any third party.
4 Mobile apps The ‘Sygonix Home’ app is required for operating Sygonix Home products. Android and iOS versions are available from the respective app stores. Mobile app instruction manuals are available from the URL listed in chapter 2 Up-to-date operating instructions on page 6. 5 Explanation of symbols The symbol with the lightning in the triangle is used if there is a risk to your health, e.g. due to an electric shock.

Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product. • Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the appliance. • Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an authorised repair centre.
6.5 Power adapter • The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible. • As power supply, only use the supplied mains adaptor. • Only connect the power adaptor to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply. Before plugging in the power adaptor, check whether the voltage stated on the power adaptor complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier. • Never connect or disconnect power adaptors if your hands are wet.

9.4 Operating elements Light sensor Indicator light Touch button Reset button 9.5 Placement/Installation • Place the gateway on an even and dry surface. Stay within the max. transmission distances (refer to chapter 9.10 Technical data on page 13 for details). Note that walls, metal objects and devices using electrical frequencies can affect signal strength. Keep these factors in mind when deciding on suitable places for gateway and sensors.
9.7.2 Pair sensor Repeat the following steps for each sensor you want to pair: 1. Put your finger on the touch button on the gateway for 5 seconds. The gateway plays the pairing tune and the indicator light flashes green and fast. -- If you do not pair the sensor within 60 seconds, the gateway exits pairing mode. Restart the procedure if needed. 2. Press the pairing button on the sensor. If a pin is supplied with the sensor, use the pin, else use the tip of a paperclip. 3. Wait for the gateway response.
9.8.3 Reset Hold down the touch button for 10 seconds until the blue light flashes fast. The gateway resets and enters pairing mode. 9.9 Care and cleaning Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning. • Disconnect the product from the mains before each cleaning. • Clean product and sensors with a dry, fibre-free cloth. 9.10 Technical data 9.10.1 Gateway Power supply.........................................
10 Door/Window sensor (#1597116) 10.1 Intended use Use the Gateway (#1597115) to control and receive data from the sensor. The sensor is controlled through the mobile app. Operate the product indoors only. The sensor is controlled through the mobile app. Operate the product indoors only. 15 Water Leak Sensor (#1597120) 15.1 Intended use Use the Gateway (#1597115) to control and receive data from the sensor. The sensor is controlled through the mobile app. Operate the product indoors only. 15.7 Operation 15.7.1 Pairing Follow section 9.7 Link a sensor to the gateway on page 11 to pair the product with the Gateway. 15.7.2 How it works The sensor is triggered in two ways: • Leak is detected: When all 3 metal pins at the bottom of the sensor are immersed in water. • Inadvertent relocation: through jolts, shaking, or tilting 15.7.3 Indications/Alarm This product can send push notifications to your mobile device.
16 Remote (#1681123) 16.1 Intended use Use the remote control to trigger actions on the gateway (#1597115). 16.5 Install batteries If an insulation strip is visible after unpacking, pull the strip to activate the battery. In this case battery installation is not necessary. Install the battery as follows: 1. Turn the product over. 2. Push the battery carriage lock (5) to the right, then pull out the battery carriage (4). 3. Place a new battery onto the carriage with the (+) pole facing up (see + marking on carriage). 4. Slide the carriage back into the battery compartment until it locks. 5.
17 Strobe Siren (#1681124) 17.1 Intended use The product is intended to be used as an intruder protection or warning device. It does not replace a professional security or warning system respectively. Install and operate the product indoors only. Only use the supplied power adapter to operate the product. The product creates considerable noise when triggered, which is harmful to the human ear when exposed for extended periods of time.
17.4 Safety instructions Attention! Also observe chapter 6 General safety instructions on page 7. 17.4.1 Installation location This product must be installed and used only in dry conditions indoors. The product must not get damp or wet, as the wall plug transformer can pose the risk of a fatal electric shock! 17.4.2 Connection • Make sure that cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges. • Always establish the power supply last, after all components are connected. 17.4.
17.6 Installation Danger of injury: When you screw or drill, make sure that no cable or pipes are damaged. Keep a safe distance to the product when it is triggered to avoid damage to hearing. When the siren sounds, approach it only with hearing protection. Strictly follow the given installation procedure. 1. Study the installation diagrams in this chapter before you start the installation process. 2. Mark the mounting location through the two holes (3) in the lower and upper housing (see 1 ). 3.

17.7 Operation 17.7.1 How it works This product can send push notifications to your mobile device. • The siren is controlled through the mobile app. • An input sensor (e.g. motion sensor) will trigger the siren through the Gateway (#1597115). • When the siren is triggered, the alarm sounds and the alarm light flashes according to the configurations made in the app (Automation). • In case mains power supply to the siren is interrupted, the battery temporarily will power the siren (including alarm).
17.7.4 Resetting Delete the siren from the mobile app. The siren is reset. 17.8 Care and cleaning Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning. • Before you clean the product disconnect it from the power supply. • The outside of the product should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth. • The built-in LEDs are permanently installed and cannot be replaced. 17.8.
