9.5 Placement/Installation
Place the gateway on an even and dry surface. Stay within the max. transmission distances (refer to chapter 9.10
Technical data on page 13 for details).
Note that walls, metal objects and devices using electrical frequencies can affect signal strength.
Keep these factors in mind when deciding on suitable places for gateway and sensors.
If you prefer to wall-mount the gateway, use the slot holes on the rear of the gateway.
Attention! Have the gateway mounted by a professional if you are not familiar with the installation
process and the dangers involved.
9.6 Connecting to power
Only use the supplied power adapter and cable.
Connect the micro USB plug of the cable to the corresponding socket on the gateway and the USB-A plug to the
power adapter.
Connect the power adapter to a suitable wall outlet.
9.7 Link a sensor to the gateway
This chapter will guide you through the gateway/sensor pairing procedure.
9.7.1 Get ready
Connect the gateway to the power supply.
Ensure that the sensor has batteries installed.
